Favourite Fashion Celebrities

Now that summer has arrived (oh my word thank the pope), I find myself searching for fashion inspiration. I've come across three celebrities that I keep coming back to. Perrie Edwards (part of Little Mix), Sarah Hyland (from Modern Family) and Zooey Deschanel (from New Girl) have a very hippie and girly style that I am loving. Flowing skirts and dresses and old-fashioned high-waisted pants and skirts are things that I've had my eye on for this summer! It's just so adorable!

Who is your fashion inspiration for this summer/winter ?

The Old-Fashioned Dungaree

This is very different for me, but I decided to do a sort of editorial post on two outfits that I'm loving.  I picked up this dungaree the other week and I have fallen completely in love with it. I love the frayed holes and the loose boyfriend jeans and it is so comfortable! Needless to say, I'm happy they're in fashion. The first outfit is a more casual look. I just went with a loose white top and cute, black strappy shoes. I thought this was a very cute, sunny-day-out outfit. The second outfit is a little more formal (sort of. I tried.) with a long sleeved white and black stripped shirt. I also chose black 'Mary Poppins' high heels and added a suede bag just because I thought it looked nice.

                                  Outfit 1 :               Dungaree - Cotton On
White Shirt - Cotton On
Black Strapped Shoes - Rage

                                  Outfit 2 :               Dungaree - Cotton On
Stripped Long Sleeve Shirt - Cotton On
'Mary Poppins' High Heels - Froggie

Photography and editorials are obviously very new to me. I know I'm probably doing them wrong but I find it quite enjoyable. What do you think? If you like these sort of things, let me know so I can do more! Photography by: my sister! Thanks ; )

Lust List

Going shopping is very dangerous for me. When I leave, I have a mental list of ANOTHER group of things that I want to get, validating me going back to the shops. Here are a few things that I would love to pick up on my next trip to our shopping centres :

These shades are just amazing! I've been looking for an eye shadow with the exact pinky shade in this palette so I'll defiantly go to grab this.

I've been looking for nude and light pink lipsticks for a while and when Zoella mentioned these shades in a video I had to seek them out for myself!
Lipstick 1 : Whimsical
Lipstick 2 : Nevada

These are absolutely adorable! I've wanted this polaroid since December and am going to continue my journey to get one.

I think these dresses are so cute. I'm not exactly sure where this one is from but I've seen others elsewhere that I would love to buy.

Matte Nail Polish is so different and I'm loving it!
This one is from Topshop in the colour 'Nails In Croupier'.

It seems the new trend is the suede skirt. This one is by Hinge I think, but I'm hoping I can get one in the shops near me. (inspiration: Rosy Outlook )

These are the Classic Supergas and I am in love with them. They're so simple and could literally go with any outfit. These shoes are a must!

And that's it! What have you been lusting over lately?

Rose Gold And Succulents | New Loves

Succulents - Woolworths
Rose Gold Lamp - Wetherlys
Rose Gold Glass Ornament - Typo

One thing that is really thriving this year is rose gold. With the new trend, rose gold watches and necklaces, it's easily became one of my favourite colour or 'metal'. Not quite sure what to call it. I am also loving succulents. They are so cute and I literally teach them like my little pets.
I just thought rose gold and the little green plants were such a great match. Hope it gives you some ideas!
What have you been loving recently?

The Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure By James Dashner

A bit after I read the sequel to The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trails, I started the third book, The Death Cure. I don't know if I was just bored of the story by then, but I was very disappointed by this book. It just dragged and sort of 'force read' it. If you're anything like me, you can't just give up a book in the middle of the story, but I wasn't very tempted.

This was probably the worst out of the three novels I've read so far. I will, however, read the next book in the series purely to see if it is any better. The story did have a fair few exciting scenes amongst the boys in the group and WICKED but most of the book just didn't tickle my fancy. The storyline was a little unclear, no new, exciting characters and the ending was highly unsatisfying and rushed. I would only recommend the book to people who are REALLY indulged in the series and feel they wouldn't be able to live without knowing what Thomas and the boys do next.

After Thomas finds himself trapped inside the WICKED headquarters, he finds his friends and plan an escape. Once in the 'real world', Thomas and the boys fuel a new spark of anger towards WICKED through many 'incidents' and explanations. Thomas finds himself fighting against cranks and people he thought he could trust. As the story behind WICKED and the Flare becomes tangled and then slowly unraveled, Thomas is caught between saving and betraying.

1 / 5 hearts.

If you read this book, what were your feelings towards it ?

Beach And The Sunrise

Living on the coast, you sometimes take for granted what's right in front of you. I see the ocean on a daily basis but there are only a few times when I actually get to see our seas. A weekend of outdoors is something we all need once in a while. Staring at the stars. Watching sunsets and sunrises. And if you're really lucky, spending a day by the ocean.
Nature is something people should use to rejuvenate themselves and find that just outside that window, there is something peaceful and beautiful to feast your eyes. Waves do make the best music.

Mid - August Favourites

Although I haven't posted in a while, do you like the new look to my blog? I have come up with a few new things I have been loving recently. So without further ado:

Stuck In Love
With basically all my favourite actors in this movie, it has defiantly become one of my favourite movies of this year so far. And that doesn't happen very often. The storyline is so different and the connections between the characters is just amazing! With my all time favourite actor, Logan Lerman (from Perks Of Being A Wallflower), It's just a really incredible love story between three couples. When I watched the trailer, I thought it would be a cliche romance, but it is anything but.

Fix You - Coldplay
Viva La Vida - Coldplay
Speed Of Sound - Coldplay
So most of you are thinking: 'these songs are old' or 'I've known these songs for YEARS how is this person only finding them now?!' Well I have known these songs for a long time but I only recently fell in love with them. After hearing 'Fix You' while stretching at dance, I scoped the internet and iTunes until I eventually found it and bought other Coldplay that I have begin to love.

Extended Play Lash Mascara by Mac
This was recommended by a make-up artist at a hairdressing salon with the title: 'best mascara ever' and boy did it live up to that expectation! I'm not too clued about mascara but it's really smooth and barely gives you icky clumps on your eyelashes and basically it works like a normal mascara should, I guess? This is just really good!

So that was only three things but I thought I would share them with you anyway.
What have you been absolutely loving this beautiful August?

Pick-Me-Up Songs

When I feel a little down or I just want to rejuvenate myself after a long day, I usually greet my ears with up-beat exciting songs which will get me in a better mood and motivate me to do the things I need to do. I've created a list of songs that will make you feel super happy after sad day.

1. Come On Eileen - Dexy' Midnight Runners & Kevin Rowland
This song is a little old and was also played during 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' as the 'ballroom routine'. It's just so peppy and the beat changes quite funny. Basically, you can't listen to this song without a) smiling b) doing a weird jig and c) singing along.

2. No Control - One Direction
For all the people out there that aren't too keen on One Direction, this is not a one direction-y song. It's probably one of my favourites. Along with Stockholm Syndrome, this song is the most uplifting (one direction) song ever. Seriously. Just give this one a try.

3. Uma Thurman - Fall Out Boy
From their new album, this song is just so good. With 'Fall Out Boy type rock' and all the different, changing beats. This song will defiantly put you in a good mood

4. Ain't It Fun -Paramore
This song was a hit about a year ago and it's still one of my favourite songs. It took me awhile to fall in love with it but it has the most amazing 'rock peppy' vibe.

5. My Type - Saint Motel
From the soundtrack for Paper Towns, I only found this song recently but I instantly loved it. It's sort of old fashioned pop. BEWARE: THIS SONG WILL BE STUCK IN YOUR HEAD FOR HOURS.

6. How Ya Doin'? - Little Mix ft. Missy Elliott
You cannot not add a Little Mix song to this list! With all the sass and girl power, this song is so super catchy and adorable. This song will defiantly get you excited, it's one of my favourite Little Mix songs ever.

7. Shake It Out - Florence + The Machine
Maybe it's because I stretch to this song, but it always gets me pumped up. It's slow in the beginning but really picks up in the chorus. I think you either love this song or you hate it, but I absolutely adore it.

8. All About It - Hoddie Allen ft. Ed Sheeran
I'm not quit sure if this song is well known but my friend showed it to me and it literally became one of my favourite songs ever. It's got a rap-y vibe and the chorus is way too catchy.

9. Shut Up And Dance - WALK THE MOON
This became quite a hit and is literally the definition of a peppy song. This song will stay in your head for the next day after you listen to it and will physically force you to dance around your room. No jokes.

10. Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus
This is an old song that has been one of my favourites since I was small. This song is so different and will even make you giggle. If you haven't heard this and you need a little energy boost, you HAVE to listen to this one!

11. Figure 8 - Ellie Goulding
This is defiantly my favourite Ellie Goulding song by far. It has such a great chorus and is just overall a great song so, yup, listen to this one!

So this basically became just a list of my favourite songs. Oops. Anyway, I hope you find something you like in here. I'd really like to know what your favourite pick-me-up songs are?

Seeing Into My Bedroom

So that is little snippets of my bedroom! I want you to know that I'm a super neat person so I didn't completely change my room so it was tidy. I tried to capture it in its true, natural form : )

Ask any questions about the decor or where it's from in the comments.
If you have any suggests about what I should post in my blog, please let me know!
